Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. You get to spend time with family, friends, drink copious amounts of hot chocolate, and get to give to other people! When your planning your holiday shopping list it can be overwhelming. That’s why I wanted to create the best gift guide for all your adult dancer friends. You can use this list to get ideas, find inspiration, or even shop for yourself. These are things, that any dancer can use, and would love to have. You will find little presents perfect for stocking stuffers or some larger gifts that the ballerina in your life will love. To view the product, just click on the images. Plus, most of the items on this Christmas ballet dancer gift guide are under $20!

Best Christmas Gifts for Ballet Lovers
In a hurry? Here are my best gifts for dancers.
Hair Accessories
As any dancer knows, hair accessories are something that you are always running out of. You can never have enough hair ties, bobby pins (where do they all go?!), and cute scrunchies. This is a great stocking filler gift and is always at a cheap price point!
Bloch Adult Ballet Hair Kit
I love Bloch’s hair accessory kit on Amazon. It comes in a cute tin, which is easy to throw in your dance bag and go.
Bobby Pins
Anybody with long hair or short hair can use bobby pins as a gift this Christmas! They are always getting lost, which is why I love that this set comes in a clear container. They are the wider, bun style, bobby pins that are perfect for getting your hair ready for class.
Scrunchies
Scrunchies are in right now, and I am here for it! They don’t break the hair, like different hairbands, and they are so cute. Plus they come in so many different colors. This classic pink set from, Whaline, has almost 5,000 reviews! It is the best stocking filler on this list for any ballet dancer.
Technique and Exercise Equipment
As an adult dancer, I am obsessed with different tools that can help improve my dancing. All these items can help improve your technique by strengthening or stretching. Any ballet dancer, or anyone who exercises, will love these gifts.
Portable Ballet Barre
A portable barre is a great present for any ballet dancer taking a class at home or is looking to practice technique more while not in the studio. This barre is a great size for adults and is easy to fit in any sized space. Plus, it comes in black or pink. Check it out on Amazon here.
Dancer Stretch Band
Two of my favorite stretch bands are the door stretch band and the PlumBand. They are both good for different reasons. The door stretch band allows you to hook up right to a doorway and use the pull of your opposite side to deepen the stretch. This eliminates awkwardly trying to hold your leg up in space and losing your alignment. It’s seriously a game-changer. The PlumBand on the other hand is good for getting into your splits! It comes with a booklet with different flexibility stretches you can do, and really frees up the upper body so you can focus on getting into your stretch safely.
Foam Rollers
If you are a breathing, walking human, then you need to get a foam roller. Buy one for a friend, and gift one to yourself. Trust me. Foam rolling is the best thing ever for your body! I own all of these and use them every week. The Original Worm is really great for really getting into tuff spots, and feels glorious on the feet. The yoga tune-up balls I use for really targeted work like my back and glutes. If you get a foam roller, I suggest starting out with the smooth, 36 in sized one. You can use it for rolling out large muscle groups and for your progressing ballet technique classes (PBT).
Ballet Shoes
Some people may want to gift ballet dancers with pointe shoes or ballet slippers. But I would only purchase these if you know exactly what size and brand they use. Nothing is worse than receiving a present that you can’t use. If you want to gift shoes, I suggest purchasing a gift card to the exact brand that they buy or to Amazon (they carry many different shoe brands). Either way, it will be really appreciated.
Stocking Filler
Stocking fillers are great to buy for just a small gift or if you are wanting to shop at lower price points. This will help any adult dancer unwind after a long day of work, kids, ballet class, cleaning, cooking, etc. Our list never ends and it can be really nice to take a rest day and relax.
Face Sheet Masks
I love a good sheet mask, and one of my favorite ones is by I Dew Care. You get a bunch of masks for cheap and they work really well.
Make Up Bag
This makeup bag is so cute and has all the ballet fairytale vibes. I use this bag when traveling and it works great to hold all of my makeup. It is a gift any ballerina could use.
Chapstick
Chapstick is always a good present for any time of the year, especially during winter. EOS is my favorite brand, and I love this strawberry sorbet scent.
Bloch Pointe Shoe Keychain
I don’t own this keychain but I want to! It’s cute and inspirational for any adult ballerina looking to go en pointe.
Warm Ups
Warm ups are a must-have for any adult dancer! Often time we are very stiff from taking care of kids, office work, and general life. Dressing in layers really helps warm up the muscles and joints quickly for ballet class.
Bloch Warm Up Slipper
These slippers are great to wear at the beginning of class to keep the feet warm and supple or you can wear them around the house as a chic ballerina off duty look. It makes a great gift that will be used almost every day!
Leg Warmers
These Leg warmers on the left are from Amazon and are really cute stirrup-style leggings that are 29.5 inches long. Body wrappers have 48in Leg warmers that are made especially for dancers that I really love as well.
Ripstop Pants

These Ripstop Pants from Body Wrappers are a cult classic and a great warm up present for ballet dancers. For more warm up gift ideas check out this post here.
Dance Bags
I love a versatile dance bag for adults because often we will use this as a weekender or for even going to the gym! No matter what, a must-have for a bag is a separate place to put shoes. This is a popular gift to give to any dancer and will be used for years down the road.
Weekender Bag
Both of these bags come with a shoe compartment and have a very chic classic design. Your dancer friend in class will love this as a gift as it easily can be a weekender bag or a dance bag.
Sporty Dance Bag
If you are looking for a more sporty bag to gift this Christmas, then this one works great! It is lightweight and still manages to fit a lot of dance gear.
Bonus: Dance Teacher Gifts
If you have an awesome dance teacher, then you might want to give them a present this year. These are my top picks for gifting your ballet teacher and showing them gratitude for all the hard work they do.
This blanket is great for the office when they are planning out new ballet classes and choreography.
How to choose the perfect gift for a dancer?
You’ve read through this giant list but still aren’t sure what to gift the ballet lovers in your life with? I would suggest asking them! We are all adults here and usually, we know when we want something specific or a particular brand. If you want it to be a surprise I would use this list as inspiration and dig into research and read lots of reviews. Need more inspiration? Check out this article by NY magazine to see their favorite dancer gifts.
No matter what, the ballerina or dance teacher will appreciate that you took the time to think of them this holiday season.
